Lane's been a friend for 25 years. We met here in Winter Haven and we hit it off right away. I'd just come out of building my marketing ideas and applying it all to my real estate business. The Internet and all its opportunity was just starting, and Lane was a barefoot water skier, not just any barefoot water skier, but a former world champion, barefoot water skier.
He was running ads in Water Ski Magazine, and I laid out this long business plan printed on a dot matrix printer. A manifesto showing Lane how to capture email addresses and build a business of people who are likely to do business with you in the years to come.
